On 29th November, Ms Mayumi Nakabayashi, a delegate from Joetsu city to Cowra council, visited our office after her official visit to the council came to an end. We made a presentation outlining Australia and the structure of the Australian local government for her.
Joetsu City and Cowra have a long-standing friendship agreement and resumed their staff exchange program this year. Ms Nakabayashi’s visit marks the recommencement of the program and she stayed at Cowra for the latter half of November.
We hope this exchange will strengthen the goodwill and friendship not only between the two cities but also between Australia and Japan.
