On 24 November, we visited WALGA (Western Australia Local Government Association) to meet Ms Ricky Burges, CEO of WALGA, and Mr Timothy Roy Lane, Manager of Strategy and Association Governance.
We have enjoyed a good relationship with WALGA for many years. They have cooperated with us with candidates for our Local Government Exchange and Cooperation Seminar (LGECS) and helped our staff receive internships at the City of Fremantle.
Ricky also mentioned how much she enjoyed being a participant in the 2003 LGECS in Hiroshima prefecture.
Timothy will be a participant at our next seminar; he told us he is looking forward to travelling to Japan.
Finally, we talked about how we can best continue to have meaningful exchanges through sister city relationships.
