CLAIR Sydney staff members attended the 2018 National General Assembly of Australian Local Government Association in Canberra from 17 to 20 of June.
The theme for this year’s NGA was “Australia’s Future: Make it Local”. The discussion focused on a wide range of topics such as gender equality, liveable communities, and the balance between innovation and public interest. CLAIR Sydney staff participated in various keynote sessions to learn about current challenges faced by Australian local governments.
CLAIR Sydney ran a booth to promote the upcoming Local Government Exchange and Cooperation Seminar, Japanese culture, and sightseeing destinations in Japan. We also exchanged ideas and information with many mayors and councillors during the conference. This conference was a great opportunity for us to further develop our understanding of Australian local governments.
