On 23 November, an Emperor’s Birthday reception was held at the Consul General’s official residence in Perth. In addition to attending this reception, we ran a booth to promote Japanese tourism and provided lots of attendees with information on Japan. At the reception, approximately 280 guests from Australia and Japan attended. CLAIR promoted Kagoshima City, which is a sister city with Perth and Hyogo Prefecture, which is a sister state with Western Australia and Hokkaido prefecture. It was a very valuable and meaningful opportunity to promote Japan to people who are deeply interested in Japan.
