On 4 July, CLAIR Sydney had a meeting with Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion Division of the Victorian State Government and Emergency Management Victoria to talk about our upcoming Multicultural seminar. We also discussed topics with the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Board and Country Fire Authority.
According to the Census 2016, Victoria has the largest number of immigrants in Australia and it is predicted that the population of Melbourne will overtake Sydney in the near future.
This year’s seminar will focus on employment, emergency management and school education. In addition to this, we will organise a one-day seminar at Monash University Asia Institute and a study tour at Brimbank City Council.
